"I can't believe were both going away for summer,
diremption is a tragedy."- Johnny
Not so much most times, with me it's more of playing hide and seek, you know? We're not really that far apart, we're just hiding and seeking, with the world as our playground.. And we're kind of to the part of the game where you're more looking at other things to do, and everybody still wants to play, because jease! hide and seek is the best game ever. So we're playing a partial game, meanwhile we're writing 20 page papers about cancer susceptibility and human habits and the repercussions on modern mans health, the world. We're learning about early hominids and developing tricky essay questions for our next exams, unanswerable questions because the the common ground definition isn't there, when did H. sapien become what he is today, difficult because it's a spectrum, when does yellow become red when you're walking along the path instead of looking at it from above? Even from above there would be disagreement. When exactly is spring HERE. Around sometime in April, late March... But looking for an exact date is rather silly. Because soon enough (well, not really that soon, we'll definitely all be gone) the spring will be in the middle of August for the northday hemisphere. It's hard to try to stay with something concretely when things are always changing, so hold onto other things. Hold onto spring, because it is, and we'll be surprised each year that it comes earlier and earlier, until it comes no more. I'm glad I was born in spring.. Though, this allergy season has become an impetus of lunacy for most... Spring makes you crazy, but allergies and colds and feelings of invincibility make you a lunatic. A friend of mine had a great story for me yesterday. He took his bike downtown (instead of the bus) to deliver a package somewhere, and he turned right onto a sidewalk- he had right of way, he had a green light- and a fedex truck was about half a block away and spead up, cut the turn and nearly hit him, got up onto the curb a bit, and the passenger, the guy that helps the driver with heavier packages, yelled out a noise at him, like "AH!" to try to scare him... Jason, the perturbed friend of mine, took down the liscence plate number, and dialed the number to report the incident. And he gave them a jolly hey ho middle finger flying high.. They slammed on the brakes, stopped the truck, got out and started walking toward him... Two BIG (well over 6ft, 250 plus lbs, mumscular) guys are walking toward Jason (granted, more or less 6 ft, 180?, not so muscular) down a public street in downtown richmond. "Man FUCK you" "you almost ran over me" blah blah.... They close in on him, the bigger driver has his hand on its way to Jasons neck, and they're standing in a huddle about a foot between each. Jason has his phone in hand, calling this guys boss, and looks down and gives the whole back the fuck off my shit schpeal, dude says "I'm gonna fuck you up, mother fucker", blahblahblah... Jason shrugs, Jason can get an attitude when he's feeling crazy enough... He tells the guy he's calling his boss, the guys says, fine mother fucker, you call him, you tell him, my name's *you might not believe THIS one but it's TRUE!* RICHARD SIMMONS... WTFmates??? Richard Simmons, on the streets of Richmond about to beat the shit out of a graphic design student... Whooa.. Ok. Not THE Richard Simmons, but still.. Amazing world... Amazing.... So they walk off, Jason goes back to the Pollack Building (art students, he has an office job there and has class there). He's back at the office, for a bit and working and who the HELL WALKS IN bud Richard fucking Simmons, to pick up a package... Jason's watching the guy and Mr. SImmons finally turns to leave and sees Jason, yells a bunch of shit at him, throw the package, and walks out... Jason called to report THIS, too, and told his own supervisor, and SHE called fedx, whole bunch of craziness. Wow... Anger management classes await him, at the very least...
I love a comment one of my professors made last night in class. She said that science differs from other things in that science is not a looking for a "truth", it is a search through our abilities for more likelies, and there is always room for discussion and compromise.. Anyway.. She was a good deal more articulate....
Syrianna was an amazing movie.
okok.. Paper time... "The Red Queen" awaits..
