OOOK.. So.. No West Virgini.. BUT.. We did manage to avoid getting stuck in a snow storm... Which, judging by my last experience with that, is probably wise beyond my capacity to transmit... We did start out, though. Made it as far as Waynesboro (Sp?), half the while wondering at the beautiful, steadily white, all around us.. It's amazing.. Jon got tons of pictures, and it was hard to believe we had just seen it when we got back to Richmond, since it didn't snow in Richmond, that day or the next, in fact, Sunday was beautiful! Beautiful enough to play outside an incredible game of kickball with about 14 of my friends, Brother, and 3 kids from the community. It was great. I cooked eggies in a basket (yes, I have seen V, TWICE you bastards, and I LOVE IT- ideas and people) for nearly everyone, put the kitty outside because po'po'Karina's alergy. But yeah. Tried to play taps, to no avail. Just haven't ever gotten good enough at tossing/throwing a ball... Oh well. It was great. After the exhausting game of Kickball, in which the smallest of our compatriots, an 11 year old kid with a bright red hat, surprised us all by, 1. having a cell phone, 2. answering it while playing third, and 3. catching the ball, talking on the phone, AND keeping his pants up... all at the same time... okokok, 4. answering the phone with a smooth "heybaby.. I'm busy right now"...
*sigh*..
We had spaghetti afterwards, and my brother and I managed NOT TO SPEND THE NIGHT at our friends house on couch and chair, an experience which I plan to replicate long after Brother has left for Australia.. There are very few reasons I shouldn't go to my own bed to sleep, among which might be extreme fatigue- no reason to be out, drinking- don't do unless brother or sister are here in which case one of us would not be ddrinking to drive.. etc. SO. Few more couches, for me, unless it's in Spain, with Tasha or Kristen, because that's entirely justifiable, by visiting the site: www.couchsurfing.com, or some such thing..
Anyway. Dale, Steve, and Mrs. B have been in NYC the last few days... I have no idea how that might have been, but hopefully it was fun, and they did lots of cool stuff... And didn't just come back to the hotel every night and watch movies in their suite.
KC is down for spring break not helping his family move into their new house, and professing to have no friends in Virginia. That's why he's supposedly visiting Dana today, and possibly me tomorrow.. We're not friends, we're part of his harem, which he has been attempting to construct since his landing on this infamous landmass.. Though he might want to search out less opinionated vixens to fill his foci of seduction, since most of us are filling them under the assumption that we are also his friend... Thankfully for him, he's not kept up with the Virginia lot, and he's concentrated his forces in the last few years in Delaware, and will scantly be aware of the dwindling support in the south.
Tony wants to be alone... Alllll alone... Pitty.. I really wanted to call him.
Saturday. I am going to celebrate and go to a french movie. And indulge myself in one of my few passions, the aquisition of proficiency and enjoyment of languages other than our own not so celebrated and really quite difficult, hard to believe its power in the world, english.
I think I'm going to go arrange type face.. It's absolutely meditative, and the threat of lead poisoning is a good tactic to promote the abandon of my chronic consuetude of touching face(s) and eye(s). Hopefully I will be able to do it for long enough to relax me into a state appropriate for class attendence, since my current attitude is entirely contrary to it.
