Who says you'll be hurt? Or that it won't be worth it? Being vulnerable feels good sometimes. No, it feels great. Or some other even better wonderful adjective than great, describing even more pleasurable endorphin surges pulsing through you.

It's not like you've never been in a relationship either. It could be anything, though. Maybe they are intimidated by your independence. Or worried and concerned about it. It's not fun being a cynic all the time, anyway.
