I have now gone for three nights without a proper sleep. It has made for an interesting couple of days. I struggled at work a bit on Friday, ended up with a nasty headache and the like. Thankfully my arduous torture of my body in my youth has resulted in pleasantly surprising endurance.
I played D'n'D Friday night and discovered the joys of multi-classing, Alex (my character) can sneak into peoples houses and steal their magic items, bring down the divine wrath of sol on someone who angers me, while still finding time to plunge a longsword to the hilt into a werewolf's spine. Now about learning magic missile...
Anyway, I digress.
Saturday I saw my mum, gave her the card and a nice bottle of German wine (strange fascination of mine) and sat and chatted. Its official, moving out all those years ago, hellishly difficult as it was, was the best thing to do. It resulted in me and my mum getting on OK and being able to talk. Got shopping done (yawn) and headed back to the humble abode for a bit of a quiet night in playing eve. What I got was a text from Toby saying come out. A quick phone call later ascertains that it is imperative to arrive at Toby' by seven. So I rose myself, stuff some suitably dramatic clothing into a bag, stuff myself into the shower quickly, then head off, full of curiosity.
I arrive and he isn't there! He arrives 10 minutes later though.
After downing a bottle of Riesling (I did say about the wine thing) and pointing out just how cool Phe's dress was I discover its off to the dungeon. I grab my good old Gangrel t-shirt, stick a mesh top on underneath to help out the rips in the top and head on our (very) merry way.
Had a good night, there was dancing, there was cider and black, there were two interesting new people, one of which fed me scotch, and one of which I had to regretfully be standoffish with. It was for the best I suppose.
Did my lack of sleep end there? Nope. Of course not. Its off to one of the new peoples house where we all waxed lyrical about the dangers facing our fair nation. I finally got back at 5.30 in the morning, changed my skill training on eve (nearly all of the learning skills are complete, if that means anything to whoever reads this) and headed for bed. Slept from 6am to 1pm with a brief interruption for my alarm that went off at 7am (wtf?) and here I ended up with sausage sandwich and juice supplied by my dutiful and truly marvelous girl.
In conclusion, not much sleep makes me update my live journal.
