Ode on a Grecian Urn

This poem is written by John Keats and was published in 1820. This whole poem has to do with all these design on this greek urn. A great quote from this peom is as following "beauty is truth, truth beauty- that is all/ Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know. I personally try to figurre out the overall beauty of the poem and try to understand its deeper meaning. I have tried to analyze the role of the narrator, the qualities of objects in the real world. I researched that this poem is one of the greatest odes in the English language. The urn focuses on represenational art. The images of the urn in this peom relate to an attempt at courtship, making of music, and a religious rite. The way i see it is that the images are supposed to be beautiful and the urn itself is supposed to be real. The urn is not exactly correlated with poetry directly but it describes the relationship between art and humanity. I really enjoyed this poem because it connects art and poerty together and makes them whole. This urn is art and therfore tells a story and thats how they make it into poetry. Thats what makes this story so intersting becasue of how the author is able to be creative in this way.
