A journalist got his hands on the applications from different departments of University of Illinois Chicago for the 'bridge to faculty' scholarship program since 2020. The article that came out of this is rather meh; the twitter thread, which contains more quotes, is more interesting; but the real treasure trove is the primary source material - over 400 pages of the actual applications.
I heard some people suggest that the zealous activism in the academia has peaked, and has been quietly rolled back; which is why I got intrigued by the story.
