On Work and Harry Potter

Jun 23, 2009 22:52

So I went into work today [on my day off] to finish painting the training room with three other employees [all art students also]. We were painting a giant triangle on one of the walls - the triangle is used in our training sessions to help trainees with their suggestive selling. Each point of the triangle is: Something Salty [popcorn], Something Sweet [candy], and something to wash it all down [three guesses]. So we're painting a bag of popcorn on one point of the triangle, a bag of M&M's, and a cup of pop... it was only supposed to take two hours. I just got home. It took us... *Counts on fingers* five hours. I'm exhausted. But the triangle looks awesome. ^-^

So, uh... yeah. No progress on Growth of a Spirit Detective. *hides.*

I had something else to yammer about, but I've forgotten.

Oh well.

EDIT: Oh YEAH! So... to promote HP6 this year, some brilliant ape-shit decided every single employee was going to dress up as a different Harry Potter character for the entire opening week [Wed - Sun]. Brilliant. *Le sigh.* It's bad enough the posters arrived last week. *Shivers.* I spent a half hour organizing that shit. And the new combos. I swear, if I get one person this year complaining that they didn't come early enough to get a good seat and what are we going to do about it... I'm going to smack them in the head with someone's cosplay broom.

Oh but hey, apparently I got Bellatrix... so I guess it's not so bad...

I wanted Tonks...

Also also: The Proprosal? Very cute. Worth seeing at least once. 3 / 5 stars.
