Now Dance All Together
The Wood-elves gather, beneath the stars, to celebrate Midsummer Night. Later men and maids will join, with laughter and sidelong glances and more than a little flirtation. But now, the warriors dance.
Legolas wheels ever faster in perfect time with the rest, pale hair flying behind him. As they whirl, this solstice blends with others past and future; he dances in another, unknown clearing, a squat, bearded figure stamping alongside...
“Legolas?” As they finish,Taurlaegel catches his arm. “What is it? What vision did you see?”
“Nothing.” He shakes his head to clear it. “Nothing... but a midsummer night's dream.”
