Goodies of every kind
Well, I've done very nicely for birthday goodies, I have to say. The Writer's Tale from my in-laws (well briefed, and I have already had to wrest it from the Resident Geek!) , two fabulous Keep Calm and Carry On mugs (one for home and one for work!), some lovely jewellery from the kids (OK, so I had bought that myself!) and to cap it all... a new niece!
My sister-in-law (well, my husband's brother's wife, so possibly sister-in-law-in-law) gave birth to the most gorgeous (I've seen pics) little girl at 2 am. Her name is Zoe and she weighed 7 lbs 14 oz. That's one family birthday that the Resident Geek will have no excuse for forgetting!
The Small Persons made me a lovely gooey birthday cake (with Daddy's help). I had a phone call from First Small Person yesterday afternoon at work: "Hello darling, it's Mummy. How are you?" FSP: "I'm fine. Daddy and I are making your birthday cake, but it's a secret..."
And to cap it all, my parents are coming to babysit tomorrow evening and Resident Geek is taking me to see Welsh National Opera's production of Verdi's Otello! Truly my cup runneth over. Hope everyone else has had half so good a day.
