Berry nice too
To make up for a weekend full of minor crapnesses, some just bad luck and others entirely self-inflicted, spent a happy hour or two this afternoon up the hill behind us in our favourite blackberry thickets at the back of the golf course, with the Resident Geek and the Small Persons - result, stained fingers, the odd scratch and a great big plastic box of purpleness.
My Mum had already passed on a big bag of apples yesterday from the tree in my parents' garden - they're eating apples but also stew fairly well.
I have seen the future, and it is... blackberry and apple crumble. Oh yes.
ETA Tuesday: the Resident Geek and the Small Persons made the crumble yesterday after school (Second Small Person: "We maked crumble for you! I did whizzing and [First] did mixing and Daddy did cutting!") And verily, it was good.
