Three days of #happythings
Tuesday's #happything: managing to get out in the garden for an hour in the evening and do some more weeding of the patio. It's about half done now. I do so love our long light summer evenings, when even after a full day at work and getting the dinner etc there's still time to do a bit in the garden and listen to the birds.
Wednesday's #happything: the end-of-year picnic for all the families at Second Small Person's school. Both the boys wandered around all evening with their friends (friends of First's were there too, because like him they still have younger siblings at the school) so the Resident Geek and I could have a drink and a good chat to some of the other parents to whom we usually just manage a few hurried words in the playground. I had a long chat and a really good laugh with my friend Alison, who has two girls the same age as First and Second.
Today's #happything: another end-of-year do, this time the garden party for the academic department I work with. We had strawberries, cream, scones and prosecco and the sun even came out!
