And now for a real post... whatever that means.
So I just found out I actually start the new semester next week. For whatever reason, I could have sworn I had another week of vacation, but apparently I'm very wrong. I don't mind the prospect of starting classes again except that it reminds me of how far behind I actually am in progress (partially because of my fucking stupidity, and partially because of the fucking stupidity of my advisors).
Well my New Year's resolutions are in effect, and I actually feel a little different. Still have a long way to go, and I don't think Target will be calling me, so I guess I need to keep job-hunting. Back to Best Buy to try and pass their stupid test again.
I should probably get to work on programming and recording all this new material I've been saving. It's gonna be a bitch and a half with the new VST-drum techniques I've picked up, but this time around, I'll make damn sure the effort is worth it.
So there will be 2 new Myspace Music accounts. One for my metalcore-ish stuff (I'm actually starting to get a little bored with the genre, as most of the bands don't really seem to be interesting anymore; it's usually either half assed faux-Swedish riffs and leads or RAWRRAWRBREAKDOWNBREAKDOWN, not enough decent melodic stuff), and one for my "brutal melodic death" hybrid side project thingy (which, for the time being, I'm using the good ol' Eldritch name for, as well as possibly having Andrew do vocals). The metalcore-ish one (not sure I should call it that, since it's mostly just very melodic metal with the occasional IE NOT EVERY 10 SECONDS breakdown) will be first, since I REALLY need to find myself a good band before I shoot myself from musical boredom, and I would hate for all this awesome material to go to waste. The other one will follow most likely when I find the time to program the insanity that will go into it (as well as polish my skills to the desired accuracy level; I can already tell recording for that project will be a motherfucking pain).
Done with SDK (again, only this time I actually understood it). IIRC, I'm waiting on EVA, Hokuto no Ken, and Chobits.
Oh, and congrats to David on his recent ascent from lowly miserable single guy to lowly miserable guy with a girlfriend. =P
