So, I did graduate from college, Magna Cum Laude, with my degrees in Russian and Sociology. Then I moved to St. Cloud, MN, where I looked for a job and hung out with my boyfriend. I found a job--two, in fact. but I decided to take the job with Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity, being their Church Relations VISTA (an AmeriCorps position) I make a decent wage, and while living at home I have the goal of paying off over half of my student loans. So I'm pretty excited.
I don't start work until August 13th, so until then I am reading books and watching movies and cooking and whatever else. I am going to try to learn as much about the job beforehand as possible, so I can do a good job. I have used the word job like 30 times already.
Anyway, Philip was here and lovely. he helped paint the deck and keep house and gave lots of snuggles. Now he is off getting ready for some great performances and I am so excited for him. As far as he and I go, we have some things to sort out on our own (mostly financially, but also educationally for me) before we can feasibly live together, but I think we will manage the best we can. I just have to keep busy and be happy with life so I don't all freak out and stuff...I think that's manageable.
I hope to have a bit of a graduation celebration and also do a little work for my godfather to keep some cash on hand and get myself a few things, including, hopefully a trip to portland in august. so we will see what happens, but I am trying to stay optimistic.
my other random goal for the summer is to lose ten pounds (7 of which I gained the 10 days I was in portland last year and haven't been able to lose). I mostly want to do this so I don't have to buy lots of new clothes for work, since not as much fits me as I would like.
mmm but that's about it. I feel pretty balanced. let's pray it stays that way.
love to you all...
school,
summer,

good things
