I have a pet peeve, and I would like to voice it. If you are not a) writing to a fellow member of a fraternal order of which you are also a member, or b) writing as a representative of a fraternal order of which you are a member, it is entirely inappropriate to sign correspondence/emails/whatever as "Frater So-and-so." Frater means Brother. By subscribing yourself as Frater, you are suggesting that you share a fraternal bond with the reader or that you are writing under the auspices of some fraternal organization. Otherwise, if you are just some guy with a magickal name, you should sign that name without the designation "Frater."
Nor should you expect me to address you in my response to your correspondence/emails/whatever as "Frater So-and-so." Similarly, I do not call Priests "Father." They ain't none of 'em my daddy, and, no offense, but you ain't my Brother.
