I've attended a course on methadone dispensing last month where I have to sit through two whole days of lectures with tea breaks in between. It is as interesting as watching an Arashi program to finish downloading into your computer. -_-
That aside, the course started with an introduction what is methadone, the properties, blah, blah.
There was one slide on how client got addicted to heroin leading to its addiction treatment using methadone. The speaker defines what is addiction in that slide.THAT caught my interest.
I can't really remember the whole slide but it was something like this (additional info provided by google and Oxford):
- physically dependent on a particular substance
- deprivation of the substance produces withdrawal symptoms
- pleasure and enjoyment would have originally been sought, however over a period of time involvement with the substance or activity is needed to feel normal
Now if you apply it on drugs then it will be like,"Ahhh...that's how it is"
But, let's change the substance for Arashi aka Rainbow sparkles.
See how different it can be?
And there I was snickering through the whole presentation ^o^
My partner from same hospital probably thought I'm out of my mind because of boredom...
When I searched in wiki, there's another line for addiction:
"...the term addiction is used to describe a recurring compulsion by an individual to engage in some specific activity, despite harmful consequences, as deemed by the user himself to his individual health, mental state, or social life."
So, here I am confessing that I have an unhealthy addiction of Arashi which I needed in my life to feel normal(can't function properly without a dose of rainbows everyday) and I don't care about any harmful consequences it brought me(JE getting my money for their album and dvd)
My question: Are you also a self-confessed Arashi addict?
Nino ponders the answer with you...
