The Renaissance Soul

Type "Fat Renaissance" into a search engine and you'll wind up, perhaps, as I did, ata book about people with more than one life path to follow. The fact that I'm NOT the only person out there with more than one mission and less than 1% will to focus on only one and follow it is an amazing revelation for me. I must buy this book and see what it has to say. Expect to find me at the local half-price books soon.

It's raining outside, and the fan by the open balcony door is blasting me with air so cool I feel blessedly chilled, It's almost like having air conditioning-well, air conditioning that smells distinctly like rain.

The vertical blinds are blowing in a bit where they can, and my exposed skin is getting tickled with fine mist,

Am I the only one who had to fashion rapid fanfics to sew up the weird plot caps in POTC 3? I didn't mind, I loved the movie, and I could even look at it as the movie letting me in on the creative process, but I'm not used to that. Not totally true- I have kindof come to expect it from POTC (Wait- did the jack-grabbing-the-coin thing cause a whole new curse, or what, because he has to have shot him before the coin hit the chest being but one example. Do not get me started on Dead Man's Chest) I love love the movies, but, admittedly, because they're an excuse to watch Captain Jack Sparroe do stuff. Did get caught up in the romance this time, tho- and WOW, what a slightly FREAKISHLY ANNOYING ENDING. I get the "OOOH, it's sooooo ROMANTIC." aspect, but still, that kinda blows. ACCIO PIRATES 4, por favor.

AM watching the 4400, a slightly less exciting version of Heroes that came out way before Heroes did. This loner kid has just developed the power of persuasion. woo.

The screen door is speckled with rain. Th furballs are restful and unbothered by the thunder. It;s a nice day to be downloading security upgrades.

How are you?
