Eee!
I have an assignment! JET had contacted me recently (two days ago?) about my placement and I am heading off to Mie-ken, Tsu-shi. I've spent a little time looking up the area and found out about some cool little festivals and descriptions of parks that I can't wait to explore. And there's a castle! Thus far I know it's the smallest prefectural capital in Japan, population-wise, but it's still a city so I'm guessing it'll still be pretty urban. There's supposed to be a confectionery company based there, so maybe I'll have some sweets to sample. Man, it all seems so real now, but I won't really rest easy until the rest of my forms and stuff get sent in. Gah.
