But if you want some tips on getting people to read/comment, well, I'm not exactly an expert, but there are some things I found helped me:
* People in this (fanfiction)fandom are generally quite nice. If you read and comment on their work, they usually don't mind if you ask them to read yours in return.
* Chat to the people who do comment, find out what pairings/genres and stuff they like. Next time you write something that has something they like in it, mention it to them. (I found that sliping it into a comment on their journal works. Like: "Oh, and _______, I've just posted/am posting a fic with Aiba bullying Jun, I know you sadi you wanted to see something like that! =3")
The above probably sounds quite calulating, but it's actually quite flattering. (I've done it and had it done to me) Because that person didn't actaully request it, it shows that you listened to them and made something for their sake.
And sometimes, it just goes like that. I just had a look at my own comments, and the amount of people seems to go up and down with every other fic. Annnnd, I just wrote an essay, didn't I?
Geeez, sorry. I sound so preachy :sigh:
