Shiny Sightings.
Tomorrow (today, rather) is ROCKS TOKYO and I have to be up in less than 4 hours but I am still awake. Oh woe.
So apart from expected encounters with bandmen (i.e. you to to their live and demachi, so you know for a fact that you'll get to see them), I haven't met anyone on the streets of Japan. And then all of a sudden, I have 3 sightings in a week D:
1) Nishikido Ryo in Harajuku
He wasn't spotted by me actually, but by my friend. He gestured to a dude in white shirt and hot pink jeans standing in front of us waiting to cross the road (LOL yes, he jaywalked) and was like "Hey isn't that Nishikido Ryo?". To which I caught a side profile view and was like "WTF OMG YOU ARE RIGHT", because as I was telling my friend, you can't mistake that nose. It was hilarious, because I got too scared to stare (what if he looks me in the eyes?? Will I be DEEBWEE-ed??), and kept asking my friend "IS HE LOOKING OUR WAY??", while all the while my other friend kept going "Huh? Who's Nishikido Ryo?". According to my friend who spotted him, he did glance in our direction a couple of times (since we did say his name a couple of times). Our dear Nishikido then ran across the road into a HUGE ASS car parked opposite (indicator number 2 that we got the right man, after indicator 1, which was his nose hurhur), got into the driver's seat, and drove off. Basically, he came straight out of the Audi showroom, across the road, and into his car. Very LOL, and very fail moment for the 3 bumbling friends. And who knew that it wouldn't be any of the two girls in the group who identified him, but the only guy XD
2) Gotou Yusuke (guitarist of LOCAL SOUND STYLE) in the train
Since I already flailed about this to the Tako, and don't want to go through the whole process again, here is a copy-paste of our conversation:

i met the guitarist of LSS on the train today :D

luckily for me we alighted at the same stop
so er i kinda ran after him and was like "GOTOU SAN DESU KA"

at first i thought he was trying to run away and felt sad, but i guess he didn't notice me
but he finally did and i was like "i'm an LSS fan"

nothing much la, cos he was going another direction and there was a whole swarm of people
so can't stand still and talk either
i was like "are you here for a live in shibuya?" which is a nicer way to phrase "what are you doing here?"
and i think he replied saying that he kinda had spare time, so was just bumming around
(though later i remembered that tonight is LSS' livestream and the record company's office is in shibuya - fail fan)
then i was like "er when is your next live"
and he said july, maybe mid july or something

and then he had to go down another flight of steps, so i just said ganbatte kudasai, and we separated

i was er semi rehearsing on the train la. cos i was there with my australian friend
and i only noticed him sitting there when the train reached next stop after i got on
so we er casually tried to gravitate to the other side of the train so i could see his face to make sure (even though the hat and hairstyle is pretty unmistakeable)

3) TOTALFAT at Shibuya Tower Records
I knew from yesterday's livestream that they'd be making their rounds around the CD shops today, but I missed out on hearing where they'd be going. I was going to head to Shibuya to buy their new album anyway (didn't buy it on release day because I had been busy), so I decided that I'd go down, and what will be will be. I do know that Shibuya Tower Records would definitely be one of their stops since it's a major store, but I didn't know what time they'd be there. Headed to the Apple Store first to get my friend's App Store cards, and decided to use the free wifi there to check my Twitter. As luck would have it, I saw that Shun and JOSE had tweeted 15 minutes ago that they were at TSUTAYA Shibuya. However, I didn't know if they had already been to the Tower Records. The next refresh saw someone asking Shun (I think?) if they had intended to head to Tower Records Shibuya, and he had replied that they were just about to head there. Turns out that I was in luck, so I headed over to Tower Records to camp.
Bought their CD and headed upstairs (so that I wouldn't need to rush to buy the CD right in front of them), bummed around for about 10 to 15 minutes, before I saw Kuboty, Shun and Bunta walk past :D I handed them my CD to sign (Shun saw that I only had a pen, so he borrowed a marker from the staff). While waiting for the others to sign, he commented that my FOSSIL watch was awesome (AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THIS WATCH NOW) and called JOSE (I think) over to have a look. I told him that I was going for their Yokohama, Shibuya and Hachiouji shows (brain didn't die this time around!), but of course, I had to slip up somewhere - I mistakenly said that I'd see them tomorrow when they were supposed to only play at ROCKS the day after. Shun was like "??? Oh you mean the day after?" and I wanted to dig a hole, curl up in it, and die.
Was too slow in asking them for a photo, so I had to hang around in the background like some creepy fan (me no creepy fan :( I didn't know how else to do it, and figured that this was probably my ONLY chance to get a photo with them) until they were done with their other stuffs, and then ask them for one before they left. Got to shake everyone's hand too :) It was just me and two other girls - one was really well-prepared and brought a signature board (smacking myself really hard for not having thought of bringing a signature board since I do have two pieces at home). Shun's really nice, and more chatty (if only a leeeetle bit more) than the other members. For all the friendliness they seem to exude on Twitter, it seems like they're more shy in person. Not that I'm really surprised by it since I have met other bandmen like that, but it did result in Awkward Moments of Silence.

EDIT2: Seems like there were other bandmen in Shibuya Tower Records today. I saw two dudes (who I didn't recognise, unfortunately) signing something for the staff, and Shun tweeted that 金井 of BIGMAMA happened to be there as well D:
