I... should really sleep soon. I'm actually considering not sleeping at all because I'm scared that I won't be able to wake up in time for school tomorrow. There's this thing called the Plenary Meeting, which is kinda like a mass exhibition of all the projects in the faculty, and I'm due to make the presentation for my cluster's project (which I didn't find out until a glorious 5 days ago). So here I am trying to practice my 1-minute speech and trying not to rattle off like a limited express train (not that half the population would understand me anyway even if I was going at local train speeds).
Also, we finally managed to solve the problem of fluctuating sensor values! Apparently the multiplication factor for the accelerometer values was too huge. While it's awesome that we could solve the problem before the exhibition, it made me feel pretty useless because of the fact that I wasn't the one who solved it :( And in hindsight, it's something that I should have caught as well. Must. Program. More. Rawr.
But despite programming annoyances, today was awesome in other ways! Like meeting up with Kitzune and her husband to play MH in Ikebukuro! Timing fail on my part, because I completely forgot to factor in time needed to walk to Hiyoshi station, and then to walk from Ikebukuro station to the meeting place. Ended up running out of the house without having eaten breakfast :( Passed Cheryl the stuff to bring back to Singapore (HELLO FRIENDS, SHINY STUFF COMING YOUR WAY SOON!! :D ), dropped off my laptop in school, and rushed to the train station. And then, even though I had been to the area a couple of times before (most recently last year to Namco Namja Town for the MH corner), I still got somewhat lost at the train station. I was somewhat surprised to find that the Tower Records/HMV there had vanished, though. Anyway, we played in Saizeriya until the staff kicked us out. It was pretty productive, because we completed two Jinouga urgent quests, and I made my Jinouga bow. Still no Tiggy skull though :( I should also really pick up the HH again because.. I enjoy blowing my own horn. Okay no, I just want to be able to use an impact weapon, and I used to use the HH loads back in MHP2G before they changed the moves in 3G and I got confused. Anyway, thank you for today, Kitzune!! I had loads of fun^^
Headed to Tokyu Hands to get Lightsaber chopsticks for my brother, and then later to Book Off where I went crazy in the magazines section. I now have 4 back issues of Rockin' On JAPAN (basically, whichever issue featured ELLEGARDEN or the HIATUS in it) and I also managed to find a second-hand copy of the HIATUS' 2009 "Trash We'd Love" Tour Final DVD at Shin-Kiba STUDIO COAST!! Considering that I got it for 1950yen, and the original price was 2520yen, I was wondering if I should have just gotten a first-hand copy instead :S Ahwell too late for that now. Was looking at the booklet, and realised that LOCAL SOUND STYLE was the guest band for 4 of their shows on the tour!!! (TAKO!!! I HAVE FOUND MY RAINBOW CONNECTION!!!!!!!!! :DDDDD I am sure we'll find a link to your lego or flumpool one day!!!) VLC is having problems playing the DVD, although it works on other programs fine. I hope it's just a VLC compatibility problem, not the disc >_< Also, everytime I watch an ELLEGARDEN live, and then watch a the HIATUS one, it feels like Hosomi has suddenly matured loads, like in behaviour and all. Okay I think... I just need sleep.
Oh! While we're on the topic of bands, I got and email after going back to school after the MH session saying that I had managed to successfully ballot for a ticket to catch [Champagne] at LIQUIDROOM in June!! :D Also found out that the HIATUS is going to be performing at GO! Fes 2011 (at Makuhari Messe, 5900yen) and the SKULLSHIT 15th ANNIVERSARY 骸骨祭り event (at the Saitama Super Arena, 6900yen). What's more - TOTALFAT's going to be performing at the second event too!!! *___* While I really hope to get tickets in the ballot, it's going to be a REALLY EXPENSIVE spring holiday >_< Also, my parents will be here during GO! Fes. Shall have to find a way to sneak away to Chiba.
Here's to hoping I don't dramatically oversleep tomorrow.
