So I got a call this morning from a landline that I've never seen before.
Thought that it might have been from GAMBIT, so I picked up the call in all eagerness and said hello in the most energetic voice I could muster.
Well, as much eagerness and energy as I could dig out for someone who's only a quarter-awake. It was 10am and I had set my alarm clock for 1pm. But you get my drift.
Turns out that it was from MINDEF, calling to confirm my attendance for their recruitment talk. Well, at least both organisations have their names in capital.
So that was the mysterious email I received yesterday thanking me for my interest in the Intelligence Vocation and inviting me down for a talk. I mean, if you don't leave your organisation name anywhere in the email, and you send it using a Yahoo email address, how are we supposed to trace it back to MINDEF??
I probably asked the lady a bunch of stupid questions because the brain was still in sleep state, but put my name down for the talk in the end.
Note to self: never answer important calls in a dazed state.
