Wark!
Got a little bored of doing work, so I decided to compile a playlist of the songs off FF OSTs that I liked. Realised that there were damn a lot of different chocobo theme variants. Which is what Uematsu Nobuo mentioned in the Q&A session here, but you know, seeing is believing. There's like Aloha, Samba, Swing, Electric, Milan, Waltz, Mambo, Brass, and a couple of others. Maybe there's even more than I compiled, because I don't think I own all the OSTs. But yea, discovery of the day.
Also, it's nice to know that I have comrades with regards to how FYP meetings are filled with awkward silences, the communication stumbling blocks along the way (or as one guy put it, "there wasn't handshaking" - cookies if you understand this! XD), and the head-scratching over model-building. Instant camaderie.
Cleared two Felyne Elder Gold Rathians today on the way home, using with Dragon Bow Halo and Hornetaur U Gunner armour (for the HGEP, else I would have taken the Kushala set with Concentration instead). She's about 1.5 times faster when in rage mode D: I was stunned for awhile at the great increase in speed. And she also does those fake charge maneuvours in rage mode. Thank goodness it isn't double charges though, so I have time to get out of the way. Nearly died once after I thought I didn't have to dodge a charge and got hit, she kept charging me against the wall, and my character started to see stars after the second charge. At least she didn't fireball me because I had -25 resistance to fire, so that would be instant death at that low amount of health. Surprisingly, I managed to pull through with Gunner armour. Rawr. I think I'll never go back to meleeing Rathian again since I seem to be doing much better with a bow. Now considering bowing Rathalos also, but man do I hate it when he flies ever so often. I also wonder if I am able to solo G*** Rank Gold Rathian with the method I'm using now. I wonder just how much more health she has as compared to Felyne Elder Gold Rathian. Also, if I should go along with my Dragon Bow Halo (for Thunder attribute, which she is weak to) or switch to the Naruga bow which has higher affinity.
