Title: Stupid Kid
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: 2min
Summary: Taemin has a last ditch effort to save his seemingly failing relationship with Minho.

Late July 2013; Minho age 34, Taemin age 16.

“...Morning.” Taemin walked into the kitchen and stopped beside Minho, who sat at their small table, to give him a tiny kiss on his cheek as he passed by. He kept looking back at his older boyfriend to see if he’d look up, but as usual, he didn’t. He just kept on with reading the newspaper on his tablet with emotionless eyes. He gave a quiet sigh and went on with his morning routine, knowing he wouldn’t get a kiss or hug goodbye before Minho left for work.
This was starting to really tire him.

Both Minho and Taemin would be lying if they said that the incident with Minjung six months ago didn’t make them distant. Nearly everything they said or did around each other since then was filled with tension and impatience. It’s like they didn’t know each other anymore.

Minho got up, placed his dirty plate in the sink, and gathered his things to leave. Instead of ignoring him as usual, Taemin scampered behind him to follow him to the door. Just as Minho was about to open it, he spoke up. “Yeo−” His voice scratched from underuse. He cleared his throat and tried again. “Yeobo?”

Minho completely froze. This was unusual, especially for Taemin to call him yeobo. He only bothered to look over his shoulder in response.

“Um,” Taemin began. He tried to make his voice sound happier than he was feeling. “Have a n-nice day at work, today.”

The front door closed slowly as Minho let go of the doorknob and he turned around to face the teen. “What?” His tone wasn’t irritated but curious.

Taemin smiled nervously and adjusted his stance. “I said to have a nice day at work!” He tried to give a cute eye-smile, but knew it must have looked pretty fake.

“...” Minho stared with genuine confusion. “Thanks...”

“Mhm~” Taemin nodded and stood with his hands behind his back, very neutrally, as he watched Minho leave. Once he heard the car drive away, that’s when he cried. He’d lost is appetite for breakfast, too.
In April, just about exactly two months after Minho’s sister had come, they’d received notice of his father’s death. Needless to say, they didn’t attend the funeral. Taemin, however, did try to convince Minho to at least make an appearance for his mother’s sake. That argument ended promptly when Minho threatened to leave for the night. And even though Minho pretended like he didn’t care, Taemin didn’t fail to see the extra drink he drank that night...

Lately they disagreed on too many things; it was easier to count the things they did agree on. When Taemin saw Minho struggling with late nights at work, he offered to find a job to help with expenses. That just made Minho angry; he wouldn’t have a kid help him pay bills, is what he had said. Kid. He seemed to emphasize that quite often lately too...

It was just things like that; little arguments that would escalate into big, blown-out fights. Taemin thought Minho drank too much, Minho thought Taemin cried too much. Taemin thought Minho worked too late, Minho thought Taemin slept too late. By the cusp of the summer, they’d come to only speaking to each other in necessity. On very rare occasions, they’d have days where they wouldn’t even talk to each other at all to avoid any sort of confrontation.

And, yes, that also included any intimate time.

It seemed that anytime Taemin would try to touch Minho or Minho was looking for a quicky neither of them would be in the mood and get more irritated.

Taemin really couldn’t figure out what he’d done wrong. He cooked their meals (mostly all of them, anyway), cleaned the condo, washed their clothes, and kept things how Minho liked them around the place. He’d been escaping to the library just a few blocks from the condo nearly every day of the week while Minho was at work to keep himself a little busy. He rented movies sometimes, played around on the internet, or studied. He planned to apply for his General Education Diploma at age eighteen and he wanted to be ready for it.

He’d made a good friend at the library, a girl who volunteered there on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when she got out of school. Her name is Soonkyu but everyone called her “Sunny” for her never-ending cheerfulness. Some days seeing her was all Taemin needed to smile. He had no romantic interest in her whatsoever, he just liked being around her.

After the awkward morning, Taemin got dressed and headed to the library. He pushed through the turnstile and dinged the bell at the circulation desk.
“Just a second!” A pipsqueak voice answered from the bookshelves.

Taemin hit the bell incessantly, letting it ding ding ding in a very annoying fashion.

“I’LL BE RIGHT THERE!” She yelled, trying all too hard to be polite.

Taemin laughed. “You’d better be!”

“Waa! Pabo Taemin!” Sunny laughed, walking up to the desk with a stack of books just as tall as herself. “I thought you were Gim-ssi! That little old man dings the bell like that sometimes.”

“You should throw this bell away.” Taemin picked it up and examined all sides and angles of it.

“We should! It’s not like I don’t know people come to the desk! I mean sheesh!” She heaved the books onto the counter with a huff. “Someone requested all of these... Who reads this much in one week?”

“Hm, maybe Gim-ssi?” He read the titles; nothing too interesting.

“Ani, no way. He needs large-print books. There’s no way he’d be able to read these.” She began to process the books one by one for checkout.

He stood quietly for a long time leaning over the circulation desk countertop until he sighed. “It’s nice to see you, noona.”

“Hm?” She knew that tone in his voice. “Something happen? You look sad.”

“Just Minho...” He frowned and picked at his nails.

“Aigoo, are you two still fighting?” She knew all about their relationship and had never passed even one judgmental thought on it. She didn’t view it as differently as any other relationship in the world, and that’s why she was so important to Taemin.

“Yes and no... I mean, we’re not fighting, we’re just ignoring each other.” He explained.

“That’s worse, isn’t it?” Sunny shrugged, giving him a sad look.

“Mhm...” He shrugged back.

“What if you try surprising him with dinner or something?” She suggested.

Taemin rolled his eyes and sighed. “He would just be angry or say he wasn’t hungry...”

“Hmm,” Sunny frowned. “I mean I know it’s not something you wanna hear but... Why don’t you guys just break up?”

His eyes opened wide with worry. “Huh?”

She put the book in her hand down and turned her full attention to him. “You’re not happy, Taeminnie. I’ve never seen you smile because of Minho.”

“Ah, noona...” He shook his head. “Up until six months ago we were so in love... So so in love.”

“So what changed?” She asked innocently.

“...He has a lot of family issues and I think they pushed him too far... He’s not himself anymore.” He thought back to the sweet man who bought a banana milk for him at the grocery store that first time they met. Where was he now?

“Hmph~” She continued organizing the books on the counter. “That’s no excuse to be mean to my friend Taeminnie~”

“He’s not mean...” He said, trying to even convince himself. “Maybe if you understood what happened to him when he was young, you’d know better...”

“Oh, I’m sorry...” She bit her lip nervously. “I don’t need to know.” She nodded politely, but inside she was truly curious about it.

Taemin shrugged. “Maybe someday I’ll tell you.”

“...Is it really bad?” She glanced over to judge Taemin’s facial expression.

Taemin nodded. “It would mess me up, for sure...”

“Wow.” She imagined what it could possibly be, but gave up after a while. She considered something else. “Well... how’s your sex life?”

Taemin choked on some air. “Noona I can’t tell you that!”

“Oh come on! It’s not like you’re a virgin!” She said a little too loudly.

“Shhh!” Taemin nearly leapt over the counter to press his hand to her mouth.

“Oh stop~” She bat her hand at him playfully.

“I mean... it’s more inactive than it has been in the past...” He explained maturely in technical terms with his jaw clenched tight.

Sunny thought for a second. “Okay, well why don’t you try surprising him with something naughty?”

“Aigoo I can’t believe I’m hearing this from my noona!” He didn’t think it was right to hear such a thing from a girl friend.

“Oh come on! It’s just human nature!” She just laughed. Being two years older than him made her feel like it wasn’t such a big deal.

“If that’s what you think!” He sighed.

“Well, if I had a boyfriend who I was fighting with, I think a sexy surprise would really make me smile.”

“Really? How come?” It seemed like a random idea.

She shrugged. “I think it would be a good opportunity for us to be close and not have to worry about the issue at hand for a little while.”
“Hmm,” He thought. It’s not that he wanted to ignore what was going on between them, but they really needed something to break the tension between them. “Maybe I will...”

“Let me know how it goes, okay?” She finished putting some books onto a cart and sighed happily. “Anyway, I’ve gotta return these books to the shelves. Wanna help?”

Taemin nodded. “Yeah~” He’d need something to keep him busy until later tonight anyway.

~*~

That night, Taemin had a simple dinner ready for Minho when he returned home from work: rice with cut green vegetables and pieces of beef. He’d already eaten some for himself and just set some out for Minho to heat up. This had become, again, the usual routine.

Taemin watched Minho come in and set his things on the chair next to the one he’d sit in at the kitchen table. He stood in the entry of the dark hallway watching Minho with sad eyes as he heated up his food in the microwave. He didn’t bother to say a word until Minho sat back down again, and only then he shuffled shyly into the kitchen.

“Annyeong...” Taemin mumbled with his fingers to his lips.

“Hey.” He replied quickly before shoving food into his mouth.

Taemin looked at Minho for a few moments before speaking again. “Appa?” He asked softly, gently, as if he were afraid Minho might hit him.

Minho looked up from his plate, not saying anything but just waiting.

“Do you want me to move out?” Taemin asked as plainly as possible. He didn’t want to appear teary-eyed or worked up to make Minho feel bad.
“No.” He was about to add what would make you think that but he knew what made Taemin think that; he’d been nothing but cold and distant to his lover. “No, I don’t.”

Taemin had to smile to himself. As much as he knew Minho didn’t want him to leave, it was something he just needed to hear. “...Alright.”

“Hey...” Minho added again. “I really don’t, okay?” His tired-looking eyes made Taemin want to cry.

He nodded quickly and showed a tiny grin. “Yeah~” He turned to walk away to their bedroom but stopped to say one last thing. “Try to get some good sleep, okay? I’m worried about you...”

Minho stared a bit blankly; this was the most they’ve said to each other in a while. “You don’t need to worry.” He answered. His tone was the slightest bit of concerned. Just slightly.

“I do anyway...” And Taemin left it at that. He retreated down to their bedroom and cuddled up into the sheets, determined to fall asleep before Minho got into bed.

~*~

The next night, just a half-hour before Minho would be home, Taemin started a steaming shower to get himself ready for Minho’s ‘surprise.’ He took time to wash himself with a yummy- smelling soap and shaved the parts that Minho liked smooth. He’d get what he wanted tonight for sure.

He stepped out and didn’t do more than shake off a bit before dressing into a cute pair of underwear he bought for fun times like these. They were red and tight to show off the curves of his body. He wanted to remain wet because he would wait behind the front door still a little damp, which would make his skin goosepimple and his nipples harden from the chilly air. Such a look seemed so vulnerable to him~

He used a little bit of baby oil on his skin, specifically between his bottom and on his hardening member, which left it a tiny bit slick.

With perfect timing, he heard Minho’s car pull up in front of the condo when he opened the bathroom door. He tiptoed as quickly as he could through the dark rooms to make it to the small foyer where they leave their shoes. He heard Minho putting the key into the door just as he posed into position.

When Minho opened the door and flicked on the light, at first he stumbled seeing Taemin standing there. But then his eyes popped open and he saw Taemin standing there, nearly naked with tiny beads of water glistening his skin and making it tighten and wet hair that was messy and wild. He drew his gaze from the middle of Tae’s thighs slowly up to his soft lips and the more he saw, the more his jaw fell open. He only stopped when his gum fell out of his mouth and he had the sense to start breathing again.

“You dropped your gum~” Taemin grinned then said softly.

Minho pulled apart the knot of his tie and swallowed, otherwise remaining perfectly still with his confused stare.

It made Taemin feel self-conscious to be stared at so candidly. “Wh-what are you waiting for?” He shifted his weight where he stood.

“Sorry, I-I’m kind of lost right now...” Minho shook his head and exhaled. “I wasn’t expecting this at all...”

Taemin took the one step forward to close the distance between them and carded his fingers up the back of Minho’s neck into his hair. While the movement was familiar, the touch was still shy. Taemin felt himself bite at his bottom lip when Minho visibly shivered. “...I wanted to surprise you.” His voice barely came out, just tickling the skin on his lips.

Minho closed his eyes and let his forehead rest against Taemin’s. “We should talk.” His warm hands held Taemin’s upper arms and wrapped him up close.

“Not now.” Taemin shook his head. “Talk to me with your hands...” He started to back down the hallway, taking hold of Minho’s hands to make him follow. “Talk to me with your lips on my skin.” He stopped for only a moment to give Minho a kiss, their first one in more than a month probably, to further convince him.
“Taemin...” Minho protested pathetically. He already had the taste of Taemin on his lips and needed more.

“Please?” Taemin sat back onto their bed and looked up with soft, wet eyes that lidded just slightly. He swung their embraced hands side to side between them as he waited for his answer.

Minho’s resolve melted away and he answered by placing a deep kiss onto Taemin’s lips. With a short whisper, he added “You shouldn’t have to ask me ‘please’ to love you...” and started to make up for every kiss he’d neglected to give for the past few months.

Without really noticing, Taemin had been laid onto his back. Their hands went to work memorizing each other again, finding every curve and soft, sensitive part. Taemin effortlessly unbuttoned Minho’s shirt and slid the fabric down his shoulders. Every move was slow and careful, not rushing to be greedy or lustful. As seconds passed and their kiss locked, Taemin’s skin became warm again and blushed a soft pink.

“Baby...” Minho whispered into the crook of Taemin’s neck. The younger could hear the desire lacing his voice. “I can’t believe you’re wearing this...” A finger wiggled its way into hooking the waistband of his underwear and tugged at it curiously, not daring to pull it down just yet.

“Do you like it?” He asked shyly, a smile playing on his lips.

Minho crawled two fingertips up Taemin’s legs. “I do...” He laid there between Taemin’s legs and just looked at him, yet a small piece of him was entirely apprehensive. “I feel kind of shy for some reason.” He admitted with a laugh.

“Me too...” Taemin’s cheeks blushed a deep red and Minho touched one. “I’ve missed touching you like this...”

“Me too.” Minho swallowed. “I’ve been such an asshole, I want t−”

“Shh,” Taemin touched a finger to Minho’s lips. “Please, I don’t want to talk about all of that right now. Let’s just enjoy each other.”

“Baby I need to apologize for a lot...” Minho wasn’t happy ignoring the impact his actions.

“Make love to me...” Taemin smoothed his hands over Minho’s slightly faded abs.

“How do I deserve you?” Minho nuzzled into Taemin’s chest and kissed hungrily. “Huh? How is it you haven’t left me all alone like I deserve?” He pushed Taemin further up the bed, filling his large hands with Taemin’s supple bottom.

“Ah~” The boy whined cutely. “Mm, more~”

Such a small invitation that was his moan made them wild with passion. The rest of Minho’s clothes came off quickly and they pressed skin to skin. Their fire came back, lit with the temptation of Minho’s fetish for Taemin’s young body and Taemin’s taste for Minho’s mature one.

“Appa, you’re a bad man~” Taemin whined, intentionally making himself sound like a vulnerable, innocent little boy. His hands moved down his chest to between his legs, directing Minho’s attention to his very neglected and throbbing dick.

Minho groaned and hissed through his teeth. “Mmh, call me appa~” He demanded with a growl. His eyes locked with Taemin’s when his mouth met the tip. He needed to watch his baby boy’s cute reaction.

Taemin gave a great big gasp. “Appa~!” He whimpered out, letting his fingertips dig uninhibitedly into Minho’s shoulders.

Minho took him deeper in response. When Taemin’s member touched the back of his throat and he could still swallow more, he couldn’t hold back a tiny laugh. He took him out of his mouth and whispered. “My little Minnie is growing~”

“Wh-wha?” Taemin whined shyly.

“You’re getting bigger.” Minho gave it a gentle tug, making some precum leak from the tip. “Ooh,” He moaned and lapped it up with a light suck.

“Don’t s-say that~” He pouted between heated sighs.

“Is it embarrassing?” Minho took some time to kiss the inside of Taemin’s thighs. They had barely gained any muscle in these few years and were adorably slim, perfect enough to modestly expose his hipbones.

Taemin tried bringing his knees together. “Mmh~” His hands came up to his cheeks to hide himself.

“I think it’s cute.” He gave one more kiss and lifted Taemin up onto his lap. “Just like you... my sweetheart.”

“Minho~” Taemin wrapped his arms around Minho’s neck. With simultaneous touches, they connected their bodies in the most intimate way. “Appa! Ooh!” He whimpered, being stretched a bit.

“Is it good baby?” Minho asked. He was gentle and loving with his touches and thrusts and kisses. It made Taemin sweat and shiver at the same time.

“So good~!” Taemin nearly cried. It was ecstasy to feel this closeness again. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” It wasn’t the mention of the words that mattered, it was the adoring touches and devoted feelings that were sown from them that reminded them of the one thing that mattered;

their true, deep love for each other.

~*~

Taemin was totally absorbed in Minho’s scent and slowly falling asleep in his arms, attached to him with their naked skin pressed together. He played with Minho’s nipples and soft body hair. “Let’s make up~” He said.

“You have nothing to apologize for, it’s all me...” Minho admitted with a defeated sigh.

Taemin pushed himself up on his palms and looked at Minho. “Talk to me. What’s been bothering you?” He worked his fingers on one hand into his lover’s hair to soothe him.

Minho closed his eyes to enjoy the touch. “Minjung... my father... work...” He listed quietly.

“Why haven’t you told me?” Taemin asked.

Minho shook his head. “I don’t know...”

“That’s what relationships are about, aren’t they?” Taemin moved to lay on Minho so they were face to face. “I want to be here for you. I want to be your strength when you feel weak...” He embraced their hands for emphasis.

Minho was continually impressed with Taemin’s maturity. Why was it that he couldn’t easily look past their age difference when it came to relationship issues and Taemin could? “I was too proud.”

“As always.” He giggled. “I’m sixteen. I know. But I’m not a kid. I’ve done enough things and talked about too many subjects with you to be a kid anymore. No more kid stuff.”

“I like the kid part of you.” Having Taemin’s youthfulness around all the time kept Minho smiling.

“But that’s a personality trait. It’s not what defines me as a person, is it?” Taemin asked sadly.

“Not at all... You’re a lot more than that.” Minho nodded to himself.

“You’re a kid too in some ways, and there are lots of other traits about you that I love.” Taemin spoke so sensibly. “I want us to be partners for life. Okay? I’m not going through a phase where I like older guys or anything~”

“Am I old?” Minho teased.

“Aish I didn’t say that!” Taemin giggled and nuzzled his face against Minho’s shoulder.

Minho laughed. It felt good to laugh for the first time in a long time. “I missed you...”

“I missed you too. I missed us.” Taemin was wrapped up in his lover’s strong arms and closed his eyes. “This is happiness...”

Minho evened the part in Taemin’s hair with his fingertips, touching his scalp and giving him shivers. “I’m sorry I ever questioned that...”

a/n: I'm sorry, I tried writing a really hot smut scene for this but it didn't turn out right. I really hate it and find it awkward and my worst smut yet. I hope you're not disappointed. I'm really unhappy with this entire chapter. Please give your honest feedback <3

Also, this is going to be the last update for a while. I know it's not like I update often or anything, but I need a break so badly. Every single day I work on my fics. I really do. I open the documents and edit, add, and do as much as I can. This sounds like such a shitty excuse but please don't think any less of me. At the most I'm just going to take a few weeks off. That means that I won't look at or work on my fics. Wow, that's going to be really hard for me :( I love looking at my fics every day... But I need to concentrate on schoolwork. Graduate school is very demanding :(

Please support me during my weeks of rest and relaxation. I will return with a clear mind that will be able to produce great updates ^_^ (hopefully). I'm going to take good care of myself <3

Lots and LOTS of love,

ayuhime
