About my plans.

I shared this with my friends on the Helpdesk group on Facebook and thought I'd share the same thing here. This is what was posted:

Okay, so I just got off the phone with Kayla and did some Googling. I hear LegalZoom is good for this stuff so I filled out part of the form and will pay for the legal stuff later when I have the money. That or I'll get out a loan since it isn't as big an amount than I had anticipated.

What I'm trying to announce is the fact that I'm going to start a church/organization here in Illinois called The Magickal Helpdesk Peoria Chapter. The mission statement will simply be, "Offering help and fellowship to those of any spiritual tradition". It'll be like a Unitarian church but with mostly a focus on Paganism.

I'm planning on gathering a few people here in the area that I know that would be interested in forming a church together. With that, I can sign up for a 501(3)(c) and get grants to start not only getting a building, but also starting the church, opening up a pantry, a soup kitchen and then eventually a homeless shelter. The hostel part what a dream that Kayla had shared with me a while back.

However, I cannot do all this at first because I need to continue with my seminary work. I just finished my Master of Wiccan Studies course and plan on not only getting a Pastoral Counseling certificate but to join the Chaplaincy program and take the classes therin. During this time I will be learning how to drive and when I get my license I'll get a loan to buy a car so I can travel at night, in the winter, and outside the bus routes.

And when things get settled down, I'll take the remaining four courses to get a degree in Pagan Ministry and a letter of good standing with the church and permission to, I'll be doing Chaplaincy work at a local hospital and various nursing homes.

For all this I'll need a car. So, learning how to drive is VERY important at this time.

I'm asking for prayers, good thoughts and energy at this time. I hope I can transform our love into something of service to those in need.

Go ahead and leave a comment to tell me what you think. This is a very big goal I'm trying to accomplish.. some feedback would be greatly appreciated.
