Well, this certainly is an interesting place, isn't it? I'm glad to see the age reduction was temporary, although it was quite amusing. I've been spending most of my time looking around the forest, getting to know the locations of things... it's no good to have so many things growing on the trees if you don't know where they are when you need them, after all. The mountains are interesting as well, though they look like they'd be much too difficult to climb in any serious fashion--not that I know why anyone would want to.
I'm still trying to get used to the thought of three Hijikata-sans running around. If the other two are anything like the one I know... [laughs]
Now, if only I had a proper kitchen. Pulling things from trees is all well and good, but I wonder when the last time anyone here had a proper meal was. I'm going to have to see about fixing that.

I almost wish he'd stayed a child. He seems more sure of himself in general, now, but I'm going to miss having that sort of trust from him. It makes me wish I'd treated him more like a brother, from the beginning. I suppose there's no point in regrets, though. I'll just have to be grateful that I got to see that innocence again, if only for a little while.
