At the risk of being irresponsible, Posey's got to be out for year, right? The Giants would have said something by now if it wasn't a big time injury. Silence is never a good sign.
Hope his comeback works out better than Morales's.

edit 2: Pablo Sandoval writes (rather adorably and apparently without concern for the fact that the Giants haven't formally confirmed anything), "Good morning I feel so bad because we lost buster for rest of the season it's gonna be hard with out him"
edit 3: Uh huh. Sandoval: "Talking further within our team, I might have misspoken and hopefully Buster isn't out for the season"
I feel sorry for you Giants fans. If this was a player I lived and breathed, I would be punching people and things in the face right now. MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT ALREADY.
Well, I suppose technically the Giants twitter feed did announce Posey to the DL with a fracture in the lower leg. So there's that.
