1. Some chick created a fuckyeahrichharden tumblr, which is funny in and of itself, but the best part is no fewer than the first three images posted were lifted straight from rickenbacker's lj. It's a small internet, apparently. One is a screencap Bri posted from that classic '03 A's/Red Sox game that someone forgot to black out on Comcast Sportsnet last year. Another is a picture she took of James Richard in the dugout in Pittsburgh in '09. And another is the image she just posted from Sweet Lou and the Cubs - complete with google keyword highlight of "victoria". It cracks me up to no end that Bri's LJ is like, one stop shopping for Rich Harden imagery. The most recent image posted is also a screencap that I am fairly certain was first posted to LJ a while back by wahlee. So far, you are totally redundant, FYRH tumblr.

2. Huston threw a scoreless inning with Double-A Tulsa! Also, he's a poet....and he totally knows it. Who talks like this?

"I'm close -- dangerously close. I'm close enough to start getting my hopes up, and that's something I'm trying to keep together."- Street makes progress in rehab start.

Nerd. While visiting at Coors Field the day before, he was quoted as saying, "It makes you realize how special it is here, how fun it is here, the camaraderie and the pleasure of your teammates' company, even when all they did was give me a hard time."

I can't decide whether to laugh or feel bad for him. I would hope he means that being hurt makes one appreciate all the above... and not so much that being with the minor league club makes him appreciate those things. Cause the latter would be a kind of rude thing to say, since I'm sure Tulsa has fallen all over itself to accommodate him. And heaven forfend Huston Lowell Street be rude.

I can't wait until he gets back into action. Despite all the fun I had getting into the Dodgers-Rockies and Rockies-Giants games last year, I haven't had it in me to watch a single Rockies game so far this year.

And you know what else would be awesome? If the Mariners called up Jack Hannahan. Please and thank you.

3. I don't quite know what's going on with Facebook, but with people allegedly deleting their accounts in protest, it sounds vaguely reminiscent of lo these many years of Livejournal/SixApart bruhaha. Suddenly, I feel a kind of kinship with Facebook users. Weird. I don't think I like it.

4. The Orioles took 2 of 3 from the Mariners (HA HA, put that in your beat-reporter boycotting pipe and smoke it), and have taken won 5 of their last 6. ...But they still have the worst record in baseball. D'oh. I like Kansas City well enough, so I think I'm going to try and root the Mariners into the cellar. That's what they get for shipping off my Jack anyway.
