Bri and I were supposed to be in Rehoboth Beach this weekend, but in light of the fact that this Nor'easter has dumped more than two feet of snow from here to the Eastern Shore, we've pushed those plans off to weekend after next. It started snowing at about 11:15 am yesterday, and it, quite literally, just now appears to have stopped.

This weekend, as a result, has so far featured a lot of Mystery Science Theater 3000, and the first nine episodes of Series One of BBC's Merlin (which, for the record, is totally a BBC version of Smallville, in case you were wondering). We did brave the elements at around 11 this morning to make a popcorn/salsa/dip run to the local market (we were low on salsa, and out of the other two!). It was pretty fun, actually - we got to climb from our building door to the parking lot, and then we just walked in the road to the store, since the plows had made a couple of passes. Not enough passes to be out in a small car, though. We saw a moron with front wheel drive get stuck in a snow bank - everyone else is on foot to the grocery store, but he figures he can drive it. **shakes head**

In other exciting news, johnnybvo and I have tickets to see Corinne Bailey Rae in concert in May! johnnybvo has been on her bandwagon for years, but I've just finally started paying real attention with the lovely first single off her new album (I'd Do It All Again). I don't get to half as many concerts as I'd like - service fees that add another $10-$15 dollars to my ticket price stop me almost every time - but it should be fun. johnnybvo, rickenbacker, and I also hope to see In The Heights when the tour hits the Hippodrome later this month. I'm pretty jazzed. The question is do I go in fairly fresh-eared, or do I get the Official Cast Recording and learn all the songs before hand?

Hope everyone on the Eastern seaboard is doing all right in the weather so far! This part is always the most enjoyable - I'm not really looking forward to digging my car out tomorrow :X
