~ Got any tried and true recipes for meals that reheat/keep well? The only ingredient restriction is that it can't involve pork.
~ The word (according to Chicago Tribune Live) is that the Cubs could have had DeRosa two weeks ago for Sean Marshall and a mid-level prospect. Speaking of CTL, it is SO REFRESHING to see/hear some columnists taking Milton's side on the Milton/Lou showdown. Thank you, Phil Rogers and Dave Van Dyck. I am so tired of people saying Milton deserved it, Milton's a bad guy, he's never been anything other than a bad guy, etc. 1.) It's not true, and 2.) it's total bullshit to let other hotheads on your team get away with childish shit left and right, and then try to start regulating when Milton expresses frustration. Double standard, much?
~ Huston ended up getting saves in all three games against Oakland. It left me in such a good mood, Bri and I went out for dinner (to celebrate Huston's good run, and Bri's first public posting of some of her WIPs). We went to an Italian place that makes baked ziti she really likes. I've been underwhelmed by all the pasta dishes I've tried there, so I had the mussels (sauteed in garlic and olive oil) appetizer as my meal. It was absolutely delicious, let me tell you. I'm so glad to have finally found something to get when we go there.
~ I've really been looking forward to James Richard's start tonight, for some reason.
rickenbacker says it's cause I'm feeling tenderhearted toward him, on account of how hard he was on himself after the start in Detroit. I don't know about that. Me? Tenderhearted? I think the heat's going to her head.
It's his first start at PNC; I do wish we could have worked out our time off such that we could have seen him in Detroit and tonight. Alas. Stupid bills that require us to work more than we don't in order to earn a livable paycheck >:[
