LIKE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Which I only saw bits and pieces of between the innings of the ballgame on Friday. I tried dling this morning but holy crap the torrents were crawling, so I gave up. But I saw enough of the beginning and the end to be depressed and kinda happy, but mostly depressed. Will try the torrents again in a little while.
There's been some talk in recent days about how the Cardinals are amendable to bringing Mark Mulder back. But I hadn't really heard anything out of his camp on it, though I was hoping. And then rickenbacker found the following:
La Russa said they want to bring Mark Mulder back. He told us something neat about Mulder. La Russa said, "Mark told me the fans of St. Louis never saw the real Mark Mulder. He wants to show them the real Mulder." So yes it sounds as if the team and Mulder are interested in working out a deal to keep him here as he rehabs the shoulder.
Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilliant. I had a feeling he would be too lazy to uproot again for just a season or two, and now with the championship I'm feeling pretty good about him staying put. So I only have to worry about Zito going to some fucking team I have no desire to get interested in and learn about. Apparently around the ASG is when most people are targeting Mulder to be ready to pitch again, but it would be super awesome if he were in pitching form by the Oakland series in June. Because, yes.
I have this friend who, I guess, thinks talking like a 5 year old is cute. Sometimes, I want to kick her in the head. But we went to 7-11 today and she bought me a pumpkin cheesecake latte. ♥ So I resisted the impulse.
