+ This was supposed to be the Friday Five, but I neglected to put this post up yesterday, so now it's just Random Music:

+ The NSO show was faboo. It was part of their Composer Portraits series, and the artist of the evening was Mozart. Liz came down from Bmore to meet me - the metro lets off right by GW Hospital, which of course gave me TWW flashbacks ("GW, blue! Blue!"). And the metro stop is in Foggy Bottom, which made me think of CJ and a mouthful of cotton ^_~ I've had a couple opportunities to hear the BSO play outdoor concerts, and I much prefer that kind of setting to a concert hall, but location aside, I really enjoyed the concert last night. I liked it a lot better than the Kirov Ballet performance of the William Forsythe Masterworks we attended on Wednesday evening. The NSO was fabulous, and I learned a ton about Mozart, and that I really should see Amadeus.

No wonder things are getting tense in the Atlanta clubhouse. The Florida Marlins are a game out of third place in the NL East. That's awesome. Oh! And there are four teams between them and the worst record in baseball right now. One of those teams being the Chicago Cubs :/ **sends lovingthecubs a drink**
Speaking of the Fish, it is really beyond me how anyone can remain hardened to them with the stories the media keep writing. Today's player spotlight: Alfredo Amezaga. "I've had more talented kids, but nobody with that kind of heart."
+ My father isn't going to Egypt anymore - he was supposed to leave yesterday but when I called to wish him a safe journey, he said work canceled the trip since something odd came back on one of his x-rays during the pre-trip screening earlier this week. He miiiiiiiiiight have TB. Hopefully it's not the Very Special Episode of ER kind. I dunno. He's taking the x-rays to his own doctor in a few days. Curiouser and curiouser.
+ Doing an f-list cut! For all the usual reasons and a couple Myr ones. yagathai would have had me Fuck, Marry, Kill my way through my f-list until I was good to go, but I thought that might be a little too insensitive, even for me ^_~

Liz will be (wo)manning a table at the Pride festivities this afternoon, and I will likely be heading down with. And it's johnnybvo's birthday, so breakfast with him in a skoosh. PANCAKES! Yes ^_^ johnnybvo is very much the Crichton to my Pip, the Huey to my Louie, the Sulu to my Chekov, the Garibaldi to my Stephen, the Methos to my Amanda. **laughs** Well, close enough.
