energy up

I have not been getting enough sleep and I feel sort of foggy and zombie-like walking down the streets. It's very interesting, almost slow motion.

I gave up soda almost two weeks ago. Ten years ago, I was drinking about 4-5 liters a day of diet coke. I now drink NONE!! It's VERY exciting, although I'm wondering if this could be contributing to the fog. Caffeine is still pumping through my blood stream in the form of green tea, which I think is a better alternative. Plus, it's less caffeine. Maybe I can wean off caffeine completely??

Today is the first day in almost a week that it hasn't poured rain. Friday night the subways flooded. I got a ride home with my co worker (the same one who chauffeured me during the strike) but Adam was stuck in the city. He called me to tell me that he wasn't going to be able to come home. I suggested he call a cab. "That won't work-everyone here is trying to get a cab!!". So I called a cab. The cab picked him up in front of the store, the cabbie was super nice and Adam sold the cabbie a guitar in the time it took to drive home. I think I'm a positive force in his life and tell him so all the time. Luckily, he agrees. Even luckier, I think it works both ways.

I'm going to play hockey today-I haven't played in almost a month and have MISSED it so much! I'm almost 100% healed from previous hockey injuries, so it's about time I get back out there! I'll try to take pictures today and post them. Maybe Katie can walk me through the process??

Rossy is coming to visit next Sunday and I have to WORK all day!! POOP! We'll figure something out, I'm sure. There's awesome pizza in this neighborhood, so that's a plus.

I was reading one of my Doula books on the train yesterday and freaked out a young guy on the subway. Hee hee, love those birthing pictures.

Okay, rambling now! Peace
