need a vacation after this long weekend
argh, just worked 12 hours straight without a break. It's been a bad week at the restaurant, as my boss's wife had to undergo emergency surgery while finishing her vacation in France. Staff has been worried at work and covering extra shifts as my boss has naturally been distracted. And then today, one of my friends got hit on his bike while on his way to work. Argh. But he's alright, just shaken up. Also had discussions all week about disease, death, and family members, so not in the greatest mood.
But got to eat about 10 pounds of tiger prawns at work friday and yesterday me and liam baked 3 pies for a bbq, and they all turned out fantastic. And seeing En Vogue in concert at Casinorama on saturday w/andrea, newt+bec was amazing, as it was the strangest crowd I've ever seen at a concert and man, did the singers age and FILL OUT! but their voices still are good.
off to watch more of the O.C.--which I have become addicted to, and then sleep, before another looooong shift.
