oh the music the music
Thinking of moving into the Kool Haus permanently, so many concerts lately. Billy Idol first, then the Trews last week at the grand opening (aka open bar) of Jack Astor's downtown--after 3 hours of booze, even the Trews were entertaining, as was the crazy people I tend to meet at greasy Chinese restaurants. Saturday saw White Cowbell Oklahoma again, at the Horseshoe, ahh jello wrestling and dead pope jokes...
Had an awesomely long, unplanned sunday, as was planning just on going to brunch, returned home 12 hours later. Spent the whole time w/my friend Adam at Insomnia. We ate, talked, talked + talked, got hungry again so got the dinner menu, downed some vino, got free shots for staying in the same spot for 5 hours, decided to go see the Shins, so listened to a bunch of music +drank wine w/his roommate, then rocked out to happy indie rock w/all the other scrawny h.s. kids. In our drunken state, we figured we HAD to finish the night where we started, so we walked from Queen's Quay up to the Annex to make last call w/our lovely waitress Linda who served us Absinthe, complete w/slotted spoon and sugar cube (we kept singing "the perfect drug") Very fun sunday.
Annnd Hot Hot Heat is this coming weekend!! and I'm going to a Austrian wine tasting/conference tomorrow for work.
