I woke up to my mother watching The Passion of the Christ. Not even 15 minutes into the movie she was ready for a Kleanex. I myself didn't feel that move was as good as the hype made it out to be. It spent too much time focusing on the good instead of what Christ stood for. This movie started a religion revial when it was on the silver screen back last year. I felt that everyone was going for the wrong reasons. Their was too much emphasis on the cruzifixtion that the resurrection got lost in the process.
Today on Easter we are not celebrating his death but his rebirth. Today is a day of second chances. Out of every holiday, Easter is allways one of my favorites. I don't really like the comericalization of it. Bunnies, Candy, and painted eggs aren't really my thing.
Today is a day of rebirths and second chances. We don't have to be who we don't want to be, we don't have to live a life we don't want to live. This is our life kids and for all we know it might be the only one we would ever have. Why must we subject ourselves to misery? Things happen in life past, present or future thats allways going to put us in the shitter but ultimatly it is still our choice whether to keep the rain cloud over our head or to keep trucking on.
Today is going to be the day that I turn my life around. Life is all about choices and it's time I stop thinking so much about who I need to be.
