A week-long vacation

Now I know that I haven't really posted much on here, at all, so here's a weekly summary challenge that I'm setting for myself. Hopefully I remember to follow through next week.

So, last Saturday I came back from uni and stayed mostly at home for the rest of the week--but not before I got pretty burnt in the face on Sunday. Because you know, sun and all that. Or rather, we went to the pools to get wet and I learned how to dive a bit, but mostly my skin has aged about ten years or so in the sun and chlorine. Good times, though. I resorted to eating birthday cake with my hands because I'm really smart that way.

Monday I mostly stayed at home because it was my birthday and I had to commemorate how my mom was in labor for half a day before I finally went and left her womb.

Tuesday was a national holiday but I went to work with my mom and stuff. I've been interning at their office for almost a decade now, no pay and stuff, and usually on holidays right before the bank due dates. End of year, quarterly, fiscal whatever...I admit I don't really understand much of what is going on, but usually it's budgeting jargon. Hella stressful.

On Wednesday I...hm. Didn't leave the house again, I suppose. Thursday was when I left the house and ate a brownie ala mode cake with cold raspberry tea. Then there was also a day when we ate pizza with pineapple juice while watching kids pretending to be hamsters at the mall, but I think that was a separate day. All the inadvertent cannonballs were fun to watch while eating pizza, literal head-over-heels stuff. At one point there was some imagination regarding the course of events in the case that the hamster kids went tumbling over the railing.

Then there was also the day when we bought a lot of clothes for me. Like, to wit, a couple brassieres, some shorts, and a rather pretty dress. None of my pants fit now, but maybe we'll deal with that in a few months. It's too hot to wear jeans anyway. Hm. Friday it rained very hard and I was in charge of the laundry. There was a lone sock that served as a sacrificial lamb to the deluge, but other than that they did fine.

And today I have done approximately nothing, too! So exciting.

Oh, right. I was brushing up on my guitar skills all week. Ha. I wonder if I can take the guitar with me to uni tomorrow.
