Well I think I used too much A & D on my tattoo this week. :/ Today a small portion of the lower wave came off. The ink is still there, but it looks really light, like it's faded. Then just now when I got out of the shower more from the top wave came off. I mean it doesn't look bad, but you can tell it's not supposed to look like that. I read on one site that too much of the A & D liqufies the scabs and I think that's what happened. With my first tat it was just an outline and I couldn't remember how much stuff I put on it, but now that I think about it, it was never like shiny like this one was when I put the stuff on. And I think I did it for too long too. The aftercare paper I got said 2 to 3 days and I was putting it on up until yesterday. So now I put a tiny bit of Aveeno on it, which is what that one site said to do. I'm just afraid to touch it too much now tho cause I don't want more to flake off.
I called the place earlier after the first part came off and they said it sounds like the scab came off early and to just keep it clean and when it heals to come back in and they can retouch it. Only like one small part of the outline of the bottom needs to be redone and then I think I'm gonna have him fill it all in the dark blue. I think it'll look better that way. I hope it finishes healing soon. Tomorrow will be a week.
