So little time, so much to do

So obviously, I'm procrastinating by writing here instead.

In all honesty, I probably don't actually have that much to do if I just get on with stuff and DO it. The things I can think of instantly for this month's to-do list:

Write "Two of Swords" fic
PM my 3 PPC people
HOL September classwork (I WILL keep up with it this year)
PM Kelly about her language exchange
Start AS/S fic
Finish Jar of Hearts fic
Write HOL Ravenclaw Newsletter

AND THAT'S IT. So the HOL stuff I have until the end of September for (except newsletter), "Two of Swords" I have until the 20th for, and the only thing which needs to be done soon (as in today or tomorrow) is PM'ing Kelly and writing the Rav newsletter. Since I had September last year, that won't take long - I can just re-write and update that one, and honestly, PM'ing someone doesn't take that long. It just feels like it does, so I'm sort of putting it off. I will get it done tonight though, might make a cuppa first.

But yeah, I don't have much to do, WHY DOES IT FEEL LIKE LOADS?

I think it's partly due to the fact I've started getting up later on in the day again - I spent last week getting loads done, and getting up at 9 or earlier, and then the last 2 days I've been getting up around 10.30 / 11 and getting very little done, and I've been exhausted - could have gone to C's house for a party this evening, but just too tired. I know I don't get to see everyone much, but I just really didn't want to go.

The HOL classwork never takes long either when I actually get around to doing it - it's the putting it off that takes the longest. MUST DO STUFF.

In other news, I missed out on a possible job today T___T. I got a phone call from the hotel I applied to waitress at, and they said could I come in on Monday for an interview. As I'm currently a few hundred miles north at the moment, the answer had to be no, so they said they'd keep my CV for the next time they're hiring (I said I'd love to but I'm visiting my family) so there's a slight chance I might hear back, but mum and dad said don't count on it. It's a shame, but I've still got a chance (hopefully) of hearing back from one of the places I gave my CV out to last week, which would be a lot closer to the new flat (as in, on the same street rather than 6 miles away).

I've also been reading more - read 140 pages of Huntress this morning, which will be my 46th book this year :D Well, 3 of them weren't books, they were short stories, but goodreads counts them as books so I'm ok! I'm sort of competing with a friend I have on it who's read a similar number of books to me (I'm the only one competing, she's blissfully unaware). A few months ago she'd read like 20 less than me, but recently she's read quite a bit and we're both aiming for the same number of books this year, and essentially seeing how fast she's reaching it makes me wonder why I'm being so slow XD. It's a stupid thing to do to compete against someone in something like this who's not actually competing against you, but what the heck, it's motivating me to read (maybe just not for the right reasons?) :P.

That's all for the moment since I'm off to make a cup of tea, and then later I might see if sis wants to watch another ep of Dr Who (my new guilty pleasure) >_>'
