We are home. Kayla is being herself already.
What happened? Well Kayla was up on Jeff's shoulders and fell backwards off of him. She landed on the asphalt. She cried hard for about 3 mins then got eerily quiet. She wouldn't answer me. She got all "floppy" and when I tried to get her to walk she couldn't well (wobbling). We took her to the ER and got there about 20 mins after it happened. They took us back immediately. It took 6 hours to get the CT because she had a snack at 8. They found a grape-size fracture (dent in her skull) and a tiny amount of blood. Because of those 2 things she got to stay overnight. The ICU was a VERY nice place. The nurses were wonderful and fell in love with Kayla and her hair. She was her usual self of not talking in front of everyone.
She is fine now. They just said to watch her and follow up with her Ped this week. We are going to take a nap soon since we both have colds.
Will keep everyone updated. And FYI I have child that has an ABI (acquired brain injury) and one that had a TBI (traumatic brain injury) YAY!!! I just hope this doesn't affect her like it did Quinn.
