First semester has finally ended! (Well not really, I still have those ME and MP to start finish.) A bunch of friends and I went to celebrate in Katips. We played RockBand. :D It was my first time so I pretty much sucked.
AAAAND when I'm finished with my ME&MP, I'll probably sleep start writing reviews. I read online critiques on both Kpop and Jpop pretty often, and I leave a long comment on most of them. So I figured I should start a review of my own.
As always, I have no idea if this "plan" will push through, since I'm the type of person who says things but never actually does them. I'm trying to change that, sorry. I've decided to be more adventurous this time around. :)
Oh, and I had a pretty long email-exchange with my English1 professor about my possibly bleak future. I told her how miserable I was in BSCS, and asked her what course I should shift to. She said I should become an English major/minor, and considered me in the top 10 best writers out of her 210 students. *squeal* It's a big deal to me since English has been my best and favorite subject ever since I could speak the language. And it's always nice to hear from a professional that you're actually good at something. SOO I'm thinking I'mma take English Studies: Literature next year, even if my parents are vague on their opinions. And I still have to decide whether to take CS12 or have a "GE Fest" next sem instead. BSCS may be "where the money is", but I agree with my Eng1 prof that life and purpose aren't about being rich. I'd be happy with any job (though money is a major contributor to happiness, I'm not dumb) as long as I'm happy.
So there. :)
Oh, and I've been listening to a local underground band called Ivan Theory recently. I don't normally listen to local bands, or OPM for that matter, but they're just so different. They're like a cross between Arctic Monkeys and John Mayer. But I'm no music-expert so that analogy may not be as accurate as I hoped. If you want to take a listen to some of their material, go check out their music on youtube. My personal favorite is "Of Smiles and Apologies" because it has a great feel to it. Like a song you'd listen to on a rainy Sunday morning. :)
