An interesting column in the New York Times
Plowing through the Sunday NY Times on my patio, which was too comfortable to be arduous, I found the following column in the section called "The Week in Review":

I have always been a history fan. Although I haven't done a lot of reading about the late 16th century in England, I did take a course in American Colonial History when I was in college. I was unaware of the participation of American colonists in Cromwell's army. Wow! The best part of the article was that the Americans made political contributions to that revolutionary movement.
