Post Election Day thought
Yesterday was a momentous day for the United States, a day when we elected our first African-American President. It was also an enormous day for the image of the U.S. in the world. More important than military might, is the power of ideas to change the world. The U.S. government has not been pursuing our best political options in relying on the power of guns to affect the international political scene. The Obama victory may be a great blow against the reactionary appeal of Al Qaeda.
