I've been skipping Bones for most of the year. Season 10 left me feeling singularly uninspired. But it's summer time now, and frankly there isn't much else to watch, so I thought ... Why not

My primary thought is to do with an interview (possibly the SDCC panel) where the current showrunners talked about being fans of the show before being writers, and how they've been going back to S1 and S2 and rewatching to see what needs to be paid off as they land the show. That? Gives me SERIOUS hope. And they started filming this Monday just gone...so...it's happening now, even though we won't see it till midseason.
I'm also interested to see, in reference to another (print this time) interview, if they have set up Zack to be *actually* the killer or (as I'm rather leaning) the person who knows what's up with the killer and wants to leave evidence and convince the Jeffersonian team. I would be fine with either way. They commented that one of the things they are considering important is leaving those options open so we're not sure. I'm just going to have to let go of the fact that the damage to Zack's hands was so severe that he should have little or no use of them rather than just wearing gloves.
I AM interested to see how this plays out.
And I'm making my wish list for "Things I want them to pay off." My primary ones right now are:
1) Acknowledge and honor Ralph Waite's death 2) Pay off the promise Brennan made to Pops about telling Booth about his father and Pops' reason for taking the boys in (which they should have done back when the show had the episode where Booth's dad died). 3) Go back and pick up WTF is up with Max, who says he's fine and not lying and all...but who we SAW lying to Brennan about being in, like, Hawaii when he was trudging through snow...and who had All That Cash a while back that he said he'd explain so....EXPLAIN.
I'm sure I'll have more. I'm trying to keep my wish list reasonable AND SHORT.
I am utterly out of the loop when it comes to press mentions of my shows, so I wasn't aware of this, but I did notice that there seemed to be a lot of call backs to earlier seasons toward the end of s11, and I'm loving it. I do wish they'd gotten Brennan out on the ice in the hockey episode, though. That would've been a nice touch.
Zack. I'm just so very happy to see him, that I'm not sure I care how it plays out. The fans spent years begging to have him back, so this is a real treat for us. As for his hands, well, it isn't the first time the show has been hand-wavey about something that's completely unrealistic, so it doesn't both me.
I'll have to think about putting together a wish list of my own. Right now the only thing that comes to mind is wanting to see Brennan's brother one more time.
