I have 4 dobermans, a weimaraner, and an aussie shepherd/blue heeler mix. 4 of them were rescues-lol- including the little aussie - Chester- who was dumped by the side of the road looking pitiful. I originally just wanted 2 dogs, but I'm a sucker and can't leave a dog to fend for itself.
I am lucky because I live out in the country on 20 acres, and I have a big pen fenced in for them to play in. They are, of course, all spoiled house dogs. The dobermans will not even go out when it's raining- they are such babies.
I love goldens- my sister has one who is such a sweetie! They are just so beautiful and friendly. I love cats too - in fact I have one, but it was feral and you never see her. She lives in the house, and has food and toys and treats, but she spends alot of time hiding. I have a room for her that has a little cat door in the bottom so she doesn't have to always be around the dogs (who, being dogs, want to play when she doesn't). This morning she was under the bed with 2 of the dogs on either side trying to get her to come out. She just growled and hissed at them- it's quite amusing. They won't hurt her- but she doesn't understand their concept of play-lol.
The snow came through here as rain, and then hit East TN as snow. It was cold and damp- and I whined a lot, but really it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Today it's supposed to hit 70- and it's very hard to convince myself I need to work. It would be nice to be independently wealthy.
