MTAC Aftermath
...Con Crud
Got home from MTAC about 2am Monday morning after helping with packout, going to dinner with the gang at Chili's, and returning to the Green Room and watching AMV Hell with everyone.
Kinda-sorta made it all the way home and to bed after that before crashing--and slept until past noon...only to wake up with the worst sore throat I've had in ages. T_T
Getting slightly better now, so that's a plus.
Anyway, what to say about MTAC? Once again I thoroughly enjoyed myself, working on the Photo crew again. I'd thought I was running behind last year's tally of shots, but when I pulled all the files over from my laptop to my main PC, it looks like I exceeded last year's total, with around 1500 pictures! And I think I managed to get better shots this time around. I mostly kept myself to my 50mm f1.8 lens I picked up just before Infinity...I think I've learned more this past weekend and honed my photography skills more than in all the months since Infinity.
Sent off the last day's photos that we didn't have time to download at the 'con to Crispy today, so all that is squared away, now I just need to go through and get some individual shots to Ambera, Bri, ConKitty and a few others, once I have the chance to work on tweaking the images a bit.
Thoroughly enjoyed most of the panels I attended (I was late to the Droid Building panel, it was too hot in that tiny, standing-room-only panel room, and way, WAY too cramped, so I ducked out after a few minutes--after deciding I don't want to devote THAT much of my discretionary income to one hobby...)
My favorite was probably, as usual, the Cosplay Sit-Out. (Great pre-show, Bri, and as always, Ambera and Bri led us on a great discussion. "Screw China! And Utah!")
Looking forward to GMX and to Odyssey, and hoping to help out more in the interim (as I mentioned to Lucas during packout)....what am I getting myself into?
Anyway, trying to stay up late enough to roll my sleep schedule back into the groove for work tomorrow night...thankfully, I only have two nights this week, then the weekend off again!
