It was Sunday and the Lee best friends, including their new friend, Ryeowook, decided to spend quality time on a newly-opened café near their dorm. Sungmin remained quiet all the time, still can’t remove her thoughts about Kyuhyun. Did he really just use her for his sexual desires? Were Donghae and Ryeowook right about him, a playboy, being impossible to fall in love with someone like her? How could she face that guy now? He’s probably laughing loud right now for doing a job well done.
A tear was about to escape her eye when Donghae snapped her fingers in front of Sungmin’s face. The long dark brown-haired girl cupped her black-haired best friend’s cheeks, “What’s wrong, Min? You’re pale…” The one wearing thick black glasses went back to reality then smiled sheepishly at Hae, “Uh, lack of sleep?” Donghae let go of Sungmin’s cheeks and spoke in a worried tone, “Oh, I see. I know college life is hard, but please try not to stress yourself? You looked happy this past month then you suddenly dropped your mood.”
Sungmin chuckled, “I know, Hae. I just thought that things would go as to what I’ve had expected… I guess I am wrong about that.”
Ryeowook sipped her strawberry-flavored frappe, “Yeah, you’re right. But whatever those ‘things’ were, keep in mind that they’re not the only ones in this world. There are alternatives, substitutes… they might not be the exact you’re looking for compared to the one you lost, but they will gradually fill in that loss. Slowly but surely.”
The younger girl’s words rewound in her mind as she tries her very best to indulge it in spite of her current mental condition. She is right. Kyuhyun isn’t the only guy in the world. Hell, there are like billions of guys who are also sad and lost because they haven’t found their real love yet! She might not love that guy like how she loved Kyuhyun, but he will surely make her forget him…
How she wished at that moment that the guy who would make her forget Kyuhyun will appear now.
Donghae looked at her phone then smiled. Sungmin, being a keen observant, noticed the blush on her friend’s cheeks, “Hyukkie-oppa sent you a message?”
The blushing girl shook her head vigorously, “It’s already the end of the world if he texted me, Min.”
“You’re exaggerating.”
“But it’s the truth! Your beloved oppa won’t just text me! He does, but only if he can’t call you or you don’t reply to his messages… It’s really the truth!”
Sungmin shrugged, “Oh well, the truth hurts.”
Ryeowook placed her chin on the back of her hand, elbows propped on the table, “Then, who is that?” She then blushed brighter than a ripe tomato. “Siwon.”
“Choi Siwon?”
Sungmin doesn’t know who the hell that Choi Siwon was so she didn’t react and leaned closer to listen.
Donghae was talking nonstop about Choi Siwon who lent his umbrella to her when she was stranded on the school because of the heavy rain - which was the reason why she came home late when something happened between Kyuhyun and Sungmin. She said that his body is well-built like a God’s, his dimpled smile will melt you and he might be the only gentleman left in this cruel world… Sungmin agreed.
Ryeowook asked out of the blue, “Do you have his phone number?” Donghae waved her blue iphone and proudly said, “Of course! I am Lee Donghae.” The youngest girl beamed, her round eyes sparkling like crystals, “Does he like you?”
The dark brown-haired girl smiled, “He asked me out yesterday.” Sungmin suddenly got curious, “With just a night? Are you already dating? Hae, you only knew him for less than a day!” Donghae sighed, “We’re not yet dating officially… but, yeah, I agreed to go out with him… I don’t know, but… I think like him…”
Being the ‘EunHae’ supporter, she frowned and did what fangirls would do if their OTP is breaking apart, “I thought you like Hyukkie-oppa?”
The tallest among the three chuckled, “I do. I really do. But Min, Eunhyuk doesn’t show any sign for five damn years! Maybe I just got tired of waiting for nothing and I know that Siwon is better… Sorry, Min, please understand me.”
However, the side of her being an understanding friend dominates her side of being a fangirl, so she surrendered and stopped asking. “It’s alright, Hae. I’m sorry.”
Ddanddaranddan, ddanddaranddan, ddanddaranddan, ddadaddarabba Ddanddaranddan…
“Hello?”
“Minnie, it’s me.”
Her mood brightened when she heard that voice she missed a lot, “Oppa! What’s up?”
“Nothing much. By the way, where are you? Are you with… Hae?” Deep inside, Sungmin giggles every time her brother awkwardly mentions Donghae’s nickname. She knew that Eunhyuk have feelings for her best friend and she really wanted to kick his butt for not confessing earlier and now, Donghae likes another man!
“Yeah, I’m with Donghae… also Ryeowook.”
“Who is Ryeowook? Is he a guy?”
With this, she laughed hard, not minding the questioning looks on her friends’ faces, “No, oppa! You know I’m not confident when it comes to boys. I already mentioned her to you before! As I thought, you’re not listening to me…”
Eunhyuk can already imagine his cute sister pouting and he badly wanted to see her now, “Whatever. Where are you?”
“You don’t know this place. It just opened earlier. Anyway, its name is Elf Café. It’s in front of our dorm. Why?”
“You’ll see… Bye sis!!!”
Sungmin pouted when Eunhyuk hanged up on her, at the same time, curious.
After five minutes, Donghae stopped from her talking, narrowed her eyes, then pointed at the window, “What the hell is Eunhyuk doing here?” Sungmin and Ryeowook, whose backs faced the window, turned their body to look at the direction Hae points at.
Sungmin immediately stood up and hugged the man with the gummy smile when he entered the place. Eunhyuk kissed his cute sister’s head then winked at her, “I have a surprise for you.”
She became excited. The guy moved away and spread his arms wide, “ME!”
Sungmin chuckled but Donghae snorted. She was still sitting, but with her arms crossed. Eunhyuk waved his hand and said childishly, “Hi there, Hae! Long time no see!” Donghae smiled sarcastically, making the EunHae shipper in between them giggle. They’re always like this… when they’re together, they are always bickering so she’s used to this scene.
Eunhyuk broke his eye contact with Donghae then looked at his sister, “Seriously, I really have a surprise for you.”
Then, a guy entered the café. His big head and small eyes made Sungmin recognize the guy easily, widening her fox-like eyes in delight, “Yesungie!!!” Yesung is a year older than Eunhyuk but Sungmin doesn’t call him oppa.
The guy smiled, especially when Sungmin jumped and hugged him tight. He missed this girl so much. It had been months since they saw each other, though they still communicate through phone.
Yesung ruffled Sungmin’s tied hair, messing it up and earned a cute pout from the girl, “It’s hard to tie it, you know!”
Donghae said, “What? You didn’t even comb it! You just tied that up because you woke up late. I really envy your hair!” Sungmin rolled her eyes, “I did comb it.”
“Yeah, using your hands.”
Sungmin sighed, defeated because it is true. Her straight, silky black hair was the type which can be fixed easily.
She then changed the topic, “Oh, Hyukkie-oppa, Sungie, this is Ryeowookie.” The two guys smiled and said hi to the blushing Ryeowook.

Sungmin spent the day with Yesung. With Yesung’s arrival, she seemed to forget Kyuhyun for a while, including her depression over her so-called one night stand with her boyfriend… her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend… that’s what she thinks.
While eating at McDonald’s, Sungmin asked, “I forgot to ask you earlier, why are you here? Don’t you have classes? Not that I don’t want you here…” Yesung giggled at Sungmin’s cute stuttering, “Well, my parents agreed to let me study in your university and…”
Sungmin shouted with glee, catching everybody’s attention but she cared less, “REALLY?! OHMYGOD SUNGIE! WE’LL BE TOGETHER NOW!”
Yeah, we’ll be together finally, Min. “Uh, yeah. I’ll be able to see you every day, pumpkin.” Sungmin put her hands under her chin, “Aww~ I missed that nickname!!!” Yesung playfully pinched Sungmin’s soft cheeks, “But I missed you more!”
Sungmin spoke in her cute tone, “I missed you too, broccoli~!”
However, someone outside the fast food place caught her eye. She doesn’t know if she was hallucinating or not, but she thought that it was Kyuhyun, glaring at them.

The next day, Yesung went to the university with Donghae and Sungmin since his dorm was nearby.
Her first subject was Math and she was having second thoughts of attending that class because Kyuhyun is her classmate.
She kept her head bowed, afraid to see the expressions of her classmates, thinking that Kyuhyun might have already bragged to his friends that he took her precious treasure which is her virginity.
She then found herself being dragged by Kyuhyun up to the rooftop. They both narrowed their eyes as he opened the door leading to that place because of the blinding light from the sun, with the wind blowing hard.
Kyuhyun brought her to the center but Sungmin struggled from his grip, “Let go of me, Kyuhyun!!!” Kyuhyun stopped walking then turned to her, “I’m sorry, Min. I really am.”
With this, Sungmin burst to tears, “Why?! Because you suddenly left after fucking me?! Because you didn’t reply to my text messages and didn’t answer my calls?! Tell me!”
But what shocked her most was when she saw tears falling from his eyes, “I’m sorry, Min. I panicked when I woke up on your bed, remembering nothing. But I know that something happened between the two of us because we’re both naked… About the calling thing, my phone was snatched on my way to your house… I was searching for you yesterday but I couldn’t find you… I’m really sorry…”
She was still stunned and confused with Kyuhyun’s words and actions. “Kyuhyun, am I just a fling? Didn’t you love me?” He replied sharply, “No, you’re not just a fling. I’m really serious with this relationship.”
She doesn’t care if she will be called as a martyr, but she loves Kyuhyun that she had forgiven him… She thinks that trust is an important aspect in a relationship and she really wanted theirs to last long.
He raised an eyebrow, “Wait, I did see you yesterday. Who was that guy you were with?! Were you dating?!” Sungmin frowned and pouted, “No. He is my guy best friend.” She then snapped her fingers and beamed, “So I’m not hallucinating! It really is you!”
“What?”
“I saw you looking at us yesterday… Omo~ are you jealous?”
Kyuhyun smirked and leaned closer to level his face with his girlfriend’s, “Oh yes. Because for all I know, you’re only mine…” His hot breath can be felt by Sungmin and she shivered with her boyfriend’s husky voice. But it was then set aside when Kyuhyun kissed her gently to her liking, returning it instantly.
It was a long, gentle one. No tongues involved, no touching of body parts, just a sweet kiss shared by two people loving each other.
The wind blew hard and the sound of the door being opened interrupted their lip locking moment, making Kyuhyun curse under his breath and think that he will kill that person who ruined their momentum, but it was too late.
“Oh my God, you are together?!”
Her fear about Kyuhyun just using her was somehow washed away. Just when things went back to its own places, another fear of hers happened.
