Dearly beloved, we are gathered here...

Will stood on the deck of the Pearl, in the finest clothes he'd been able to find. The ceremony was to be a small one; only Anamaria and Commodore Norrington (ugh) had been invited, and of course himself, Elizabeth and Jack.

Will was a bit nervous about what Captain Jack Sparrow might consider a fitting marriage ceremony, but Elizabeth had wanted Jack to do the honours, and as for Will, he just wanted to be married. He glanced toward the cabin that Elizabeth was in, trying not to fidget. The ceremony would have none of the finery it would have had in Port Royal--no musicians, no fancy meals, no fine china or silver, no large bouquets of flowers, but Elizabeth had said none of that mattered to her. Will hoped it was true. Looking around the deck, hurriedly tidied for the ceremony, he felt as if he was perhaps failing her already, and they hadn't even spoken their vows yet.

The click of the cabin door sounded unnaturally loud, and Will's head swivelled again. He stood up straight, holding his breath as he waited for the first sight of his bride.
