I tried to bid on something in the last minute, guaranteed to win (and I really would have, by miles!). I entered the sum I wished to bid, and when I clicked "Place Bid" eBay said "You have signed out".

It takes longer than twenty seconds to sign in and place a bid.

Never mind, eh?
