I haz two dreamwith codes if anyone still wants one. Out of the blue, I also haz twin vidbunnies for which I am so going to hell but it feels good. And the pilot for Glee, which I’ve watched three times already and that’s not counting the fast-forward-between-musical-numbers viewings.

There is nothing ironic about show choir )
Viddingwise I've been using Final Cut Express for the past three years but did compile some iMOvie/vidding links recently:
The more recent versions (iMovie 09 and especially iMovie08) are pretty useless for vidding. The best version is iMovie 6HD, which is probably the best starter programme around, much better than WMM. This post:

has some good links to iMovie 6 and the ripping, format coverting, audio editing and other programs you'll need.
When I was starting I found these tutorials
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/imovieguide/tutorial.html
written about anime vidding in iMOVie 4 very useful for getting the basic concepts although iMovie is pretty intuitive once you start playing with it. Answers to specific questions might be found by searching around in

or
http://community.livejournal.com/vidding/
or in this big list of old vidding meta posts

Or if you rather just get stuck in I'd be happy to beta or try and troubleshoot anything technical that crops up.
