Journey's End

Between “Exterminieren” and the possibility of Dalek Caan and Davros ending locked in a time bubble of mutual insanity hell this could be the funniest Dalek episode ever. And I’m usually very cynical about “the gangs all here” scenarios but all the reunions and mutual awesomeness were genuinely heart warming. James came down during the big hugs scene and wanted it replaying on infinite loop so being in Who = kids show mode I was very glad that Donna didn’t die. Although kids love death.

Donna without her memories but still alive, still Donna in a world that needs Donnas. Her Donnaness will out methinks. Against which her final manic pleading had an uneasiness-making “give me specialness or give me death” sense to it. I don’t like that the Doctor is now so special that no mere mortal can contain him but that’s a different issue. Me like Donna. Donna alive. Me glad.
